We have a separate base unit for the alarm that communicates on a proprietary protocol with alarm sensors.

The advantages of separating the base unit for the alarm and other types of smart home devices is that the alarm function is more critical. For example, it needs to function even during a power failure, and communication with the sensors should not be disturbed by eg signals from lamps, meters etc. Moreover, it is certified to the European standard for wireless alarm EN 50131-1 grade 2

All sensors and relays that are connected to the base unit can be used in our smart solution, for example, an alarm motion detector can control an Z-wave controlled lighting.

Installation that you can do yourself.

Most people are able to install the alarm system by themselves in a couple of hours. First you connect the Alarm box to the power outlet and a network socket in your router. Then you continue the installation and configuration of accessories using our web portal.

Every installation is unique but follows a few simple guidelines regarding alarm accessories:

• Mount the base unit in an area where there a wall- and network socket is easily accessed (as well as a phone socket if an alarm through a call is wanted). If the purpose is to use it as an burglar alarm then it is vital that in order to reach it you have to pass a rigged area.
• Place the magnetic contacts on the front door and set them to be ”active” in home mode in order to create a perimeter protection. Doors that are often used could be given a short delay to reduce risk of false alarms.

The solution has been in operation on the Swedish security market since 1999. It started off as a wholesales operation with sales to retailers and 2010 it also started with direct sales to end customers. The company was founded as Abell Security Sundsvall AB in 1999. In 2008 the company was divided, the head office moved to Stockholm, and it started to supply services outside Sweden. The name was changed to WeBeHome AB in 2013 to better reflect the offering of both security and smart home. With over 20 years experience in IT solutions in various industries and a passion to create a solution that makes life easier as homeowners, Niclas has perfect backdrop and momentum. Niclas has education in electricity, telecommunications, economics and later a MBA from Henley Management College.
